No Matter Your Circumstance....

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” 2 Corinthians 4:17

Aren’t you glad that your troubles and trials are only temporary? In fact, today’s verse tells us they are momentary. Compared with eternity, our troubles don’t last long at all! As you stand strong in faith during times of adversity, scripture says that you are achieving eternal glory. When you confess your trust and reliance on God, you are passing the test.

If you are in the middle of tough times today, look to Jesus! The Bible says that He is the Author and Finisher of your faith. He is the one who writes faith on your heart and then develops it to completion on the inside of you. Your part is to open your heart and choose words of faith and victory.

Remember, your words set the course for your life. As you remind yourself that your troubles are only momentary and confess your trust and hope in Him, you will see His hand moving in your life. Focus on that eternal glory every day. As you do, you’ll move forward in victory and experience all He has for you!

Heavenly Father, thank You for working Your eternal glory in me. I cast my cares on You, knowing that my trials and troubles are only temporary. Thank You for Your eternal blessing on my life today and always in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God is sooooo good! Sometimes we just have to be reminded that no matter what we've done and what we are facing it is only temporary and the eternal outcome makes it all worth it! Even when the outcome looks bleak - keep on pressing on because God really does have a good plan for our lives!!!

Easy Red.White & Blue (July 4th.Memorial and Labor Day too) Decorations and Serving Ideas

Dress up your home in the spirit of Independence Day with these easy red, white, and blue 4th of July decorations. The oh-so-easy decorations made of paper, ribbon, and small flags are sure to make your festivities sparkle.

4th of July Lantern Table Setting
For a unique 4th of July centerpiece, spray-paint matching antique or thrift store finds with metallic red, white, or blue paint. When paired with American flags and color-coordinated flowers, you'll have a whole table setting ready in no time!

Rockets Centerpiece
Paper rockets blast off from a shiny sand-filled bucket in this fun 4th of July decoration. To make each rocket, roll scrapbooking paper into a tube and secure with glue. For the nose cone, cut a slit to the center of a paper circle; overlap ends and adhere together using gule. Glue a ribbon strip inside the rocket to resemble a fuse, and glue a long dowel inside the tube to support rocket.

4th of July Water Bottles
One incredibly simple way to add a little 4th of July spirit? Wrap small flags around water bottles. Cheap plastic or fabric flags work best -- paper flags would wither as the water condenses.

Festive Red, White and Blue Desserts

Banana Split With a Twist
Sweet and juicy watermelon is standard fare for summer holidays, but why settle for a slice when you can go for a split? Cut bananas in half lengthwise and place the halves on plates. Top with watermelon balls formed with an ice-cream scoop. Add dollops of whipped cream, then sprinkle on berries and chopped nuts or granola.

Revolutionary Berries
One at a time, dip strawberries into the chocolate and then into blue sugar or edible glitter.

Spangled Sandwich Pops
Wave the flag proudly — then feed the troops! First, skewer mini ice-cream sandwiches on popsicle sticks. Then, press the exposed filling into a plate of sprinkles or nonpareils. To keep mess to a minimum, serve the pops in colorful cupcake liners.
