The Plan ~ His Plan ~ Will Stand

“There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the LORD’s counsel — that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21

God is strategic, He has laid out an exact plan for our lives right down to the smallest details. He knows the people we need to meet in order to fulfill our destiny. He knows who is going to give us a good break and who is going to put in a good word for us. He knows when someone is going to need to be there to help us out of a difficult time. God has it all figured out. ~ He is not vague or approximate AND never does anything half way.

He is orchestrating our lives right down to the very second, causing us to be at the right place at the right time so we can meet the right people that He has ordained before the foundation of the world. Some people still believe in luck, that isn't luck, it is Him working on our behalf!

We probably can look over our life and see how, time after time, God directed our steps to the exact moment. If we had been ten seconds earlier or ten seconds later, things would have played out totally different, that is God orchestrating His plan ~ that is God ordering our steps ~ that is God working all things together for our good. All we have to do is stay faithful to Him and follow His leading because in the end, His plan will stand!

Father, thank You for orchestrating my life. I trust that my times are in Your hands. I trust that You are working things out for my good as I keep my faith and hope in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Take Off the Mask

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32

It seems that many people struggle to be real, acting one way on the outside, and another on the inside. Why? Because we have weaknesses, faults, and fears ~ things about ourselves that we think make us less likable or desirable, we’d rather hide from other people.

The danger of wearing a mask is that it misrepresents who we really are. What other people see is a lie and by the time we reach adulthood, we’ve spent so many years hiding we’ve forgotten those real things about ourselves, the things that make us different and special. What a shame! What a waste!

Each of us is uniquely created by a loving Father who rejoices in our individuality ~ individuality that He gave us! In fact, it is those distinctive things about us, not our “sameness,” that make us special to Him. The little girl with freckles, the young lady with the dimples, the beloved gray-headed grandmother with the sweet smile, they all stand out...they’re special! And we’re special, too!

Sure, we all have flaws. We’re all less than perfect and wish we were better, but we need to know that God loves us just the way we are right now AND His love for us will never diminish.

God desires that we walk in truth, because only the truth will set us free. He will help us to let down the defenses we’ve had up for so long. God knows how badly we want to fit in and be accepted.  We have to trust Him to give us favor with people, instead of feeling that we must hide the real us. Learn to live truly by being genuine and real.

Lord God, thank you for setting me free when I put my trust you!  I know you love me  and that you want me to be who you created me to be.  Help me to always trust your ways, In your name I pray, Amen.

Can You Handle It? Yes You Can!

“Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me...” Isaiah 27:5

Isaiah said, “Take hold of His strength.” When we make this declaration, “I can handle it,” that’s us not just being positive, it's us taking hold of strength ~ strength that only He can give to us! Also when we declare it, we get stronger, that’s why the scripture says, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.”

If we’re always talking about the problem saying, “I can’t stand this job.” “This teacher is so difficult. I’ll never pass this course.” “My loved one didn’t make it. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”, all that does is drain us. When we talk defeat such as this, our strength is leaving, our energy is leaving, our creativity is leaving. We can’t let these things overwhelm us ~ we are not victims off Satan's ploys, instead we are victorious through Him!

He will take what is meant for our harm and use it to our advantage, including that difficult boss or teacher. That difficulty won’t defeat us, it will promote us into the life of blessing and victory He has in store for us!

No matter what comes our way, we can handle it, we can be ready for it if we stay in agreement with God declaring I CAN!

Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy in my life. Thank You for giving me the strength to handle anything that comes my way. I love You and receive Your empowerment in every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen.
